Leadership and 40 is the new 20

When I was 10, I thought 21 was old.

When I was 18, I thought 30 was old.

When I was 25, I thought 40 was old.

Tomorrow I turn 40.

40 doesn't seem old to me at all.

I am spending lots of time recently wondering if what I have done in the past really matters, and if what do I want to do in the future will have meaning.

I want to make sure I have no regrets.

I am right in the middle of John Maxwell's book titled Leadership Gold.  Chapter 13 is titled "Don't Manage your Time - Manage your Life."  In it, he says...

"everybody gets 24 hours a day...Nobody - no matter how shrewd - can save minutes from one day to spend on another.  No scientist - no matter how smart - is capable of creating new minutes.  Even with all his wealth, someone like Bill Gates can't buy additional hours for his day...Twenty-four hours is the best any of us is going to get."

John makes me think about AT&T and their rollover minutes.  Wouldn't it be great if we could do that with our life minutes?

But we can't, so I wonder...

Am I using my minutes wisely?

As a leader, are you using your minutes wisely?.

Minutes are precious.  Be sure not to waste them.
