Sitting here watching American Idol...

I will watch it again tomorrow night.

And the next night.

I have no shame.

Simple lesson - Leaders need an outlet.  Leaders cannot work 24/7 and Leaders cannot work 80 hours a week.

Successful leaders need to shut down for a short time to recharge.  It can be golf, fishing, family, or some other hobby.

For me, it's Simon, Randy and Kara.

There is going to be a lot of stress on leaders in 2010.  Make sure you have a way to keep your batteries charged.

And beware of your "pants on the ground - pants on the ground -lookin' like afool with your pants on the ground...".

I feel recharged already!
