Leadership and the Personal MBA (PMBA)

I love to share information with others that helps them to better themselves.

Leadership is not just about improving yourself - it is also about improving others.  Adrianna, one of my front office managers, always believed in the following...

"You're only successful if you make those around you successful!"

And in that spirit, I present to you the Personal MBA.  The concept is very simple, and is presented below by Josh Kaufman, the developer of the Personal MBA Movement.

"The Personal MBA (PMBA) is a project designed to help you educate yourself about advanced business concepts...The PMBA is more flexible than a traditional MBA program, doesn’t involve going into massive debt, and won’t interrupt your income stream for two years. Just pick up one of these business books, learn as much as you can, discuss what you learn with others, then go out into the real world and make great things happen."

This concept sounds very inviting to me, and perhaps to you as well.  There are many pro's and con's to a traditional MBA, and I am by no means placing value one way or the other.  I do like to share information, and I think this is a concept that is worth looking into.

If you need the MBA credential or the title or the degree, this program may not be for you.  But if you are just a lifelong learner who wants to improve their business skills, this may be just the thing for you.

Who knows - perhaps you can start a community of learners in your hometown, and you with help others improve their leadership skills.

If you don't want to advance your leadership skills via the personal MBA, that's OK.  Just make sure you continue to learn somewhere...
